FALLEN PINE

Part alpine retreat, part modern hideaway, Fallen Pine draws from the quiet romance of Hobbit-like living, tucked deeply into the hillside beneath a canopy of pines. Designing a home that settled so naturally into the terrain required an approach rooted in restraint. Instead of competing with the rugged site, the architecture followed it. The steep grade, exposed rock, and dense forest pushed the design toward something quieter and more connected to the land itself.
Low rooflines, natural materials, and carefully framed views create a home that feels sheltered and deeply grounded. Light moves softly through the interiors, revealing moments of warmth against stone, wood, and glass. Every decision was made to strengthen the relationship between the house and its setting, creating a retreat that feels discovered rather than built.
